The Wise

Who sets each thing in its just place.

The tongue
From ḥ-k-m (the same root as al-Ḥakam (اَلْحَكَم)); ḥikma (حِكْمَة) is wisdom — knowing and acting rightly. A faʿīl (فَعِيل) form: He is Wise by essence.
The reason
Not an atom of His work is in surplus, not a detail is wanting. What we do not understand bears witness to this as much as what we do understand.
The Sufi meaning
When the meaning of a trial escapes you, recall: it is you who lack height, not He who lacks wisdom.
The servant's portion
Seek wisdom more than knowledge; act with measure more than by impulse.
