The reason
He is so just that one says not that He acts justly, but that He is Justice. The apparent evil of the world, over the whole span of time, resolves into equity.
The Sufi meaning
When you suffer an injustice, do not tense up: the balance of al-ʿAdl weighs at this very instant what your eyes do not see.
The servant's portion
Be just — first toward yourself: do not betray yourself, do not idolise yourself. Then toward others, even toward the enemy.
